Circumcision
Then God said to Abraham,
"Now as for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.”This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: every male among you shall be circumcised.''
And since the Prophet Abraham, the Jewish nation has adopted circumcision as a symbol of the agreement between them and God.
Circumcision, beyond a simple medical operation, is interpreted as acceptance of a newborn male child into the Jewish tradition.
This tradition has been maintained in every country where Jewish people live for thousands of years even it had required a great self-sacrifice.
In addition to all other traditions, Brit Milah is an indisputable proof of the Jewish identity.
Having this ceremony in front of the bimah of Neve Shalom Synagogue is a proud event for every Jewish young parents.
